Drafting Your Talk Online
Get started with writing your talk! This session is designed to help participants prepare a compelling and well-structured 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) presentation. You will explore how to open your talk with a strong introduction, build emotional resonance through storytelling, and communicate complex ideas clearly by avoiding jargon. The session will also guide you in distilling their research into a concise script that captures the essence of your thesis as well as creating an impactful slide for your presentation.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
•Identify the key components of a compelling 3MT presentation.
•Apply storytelling techniques to build emotional resonance and make your research relatable to a broad audience.
•Translate complex research ideas into clear, accessible language by minimizing jargon.
•Begin drafting or refining your own 3MT script using practical strategies discussed during the session.
